WHO?
I’m Francisco Rodriguez, a copy editor/designer at Al Día, a Spanish product of The Dallas Morning News in Dallas, Texas.
WHAT?
I’ve spent most of the past 15 years working for daily newspapers as a reporter, editor and designer. I quit the newspaper racket in 2001 but poor economic planning by our state and national leaders led me away from freelancing to return to do the only job I can do for which people are willing to pay me on a regular basis: newspaper design.
WHERE?
I’ve had the best and worst of times at these fine establishments:
- Al Dia
- The Dallas Morning News
- Fort Worth Star-Telegram
- The Victoria Advocate
- The Monitor
- The University Daily
- Aquent
- Donruss
And also:
WHY?
I had let my old web site go to waste, and now I’m trying to make amends with this blog to air out some of my recent page designs.
HUH?
I don’t claim to be an expert on the subject so keep in mind your mileage may vary during your visit.
